1. 充電時間很長，因此不便利
2. 最遠可以行駛約60km，電瓶的回收也是一個問題
3. 性能不是很好
開頭
Hello, everyone. Today our debate subject is “Scooters cause a lot of pollution, especially in cities. So should the government encourage people to use electric scooters?” The answer is, of course, yes. There are three main reasons why the government should promote electric scooters.
The first reason is that motorcycles function by burning gasoline. It will produce much of greenhouse gas and exhaust gasoline. In addition, it results in great noise in cities or near our house. Too much noise makes us nervous and stressful and influences our health. On the contrary, electric scooters function by electricity. Without combustion, no harmful gas generates and you can even hear “ju-ju” from the birds during your riding.
The second reason is that the efficiency of electric scooters is higher than motorbikes’. In general, the efficiency of electric scooters is about 30%, but the efficiency of motorcycles is only 10%. Briefly, for 1 NT dollar, we can just run 2 km through motorbikes. In the case of electric scooters, we can run 10 km, almost 5 times of motorcycles’. In the present period of energy saving, this part is very important.
The third reason is that the storage of gasoline is limited. A report says that if we consume gasoline at the rate of present state we would be out of gasoline in about 40 years. As a result, we should find other energy to drive our car which is cleaner. That is electric scooter. We can translate many other kind of energy, like hydropower and solar power, to electricity. As a result, we would not face fossil fuel crisis.
Rather than redeem earth from pollution afterward, we should prevent pollution in advance. For above three reasons, the government should promote electric scooters to avoid global warming becoming worse and worse.
結尾
As we all known, environment protection is very costly. If we do not take action in advance, we will pay the price and suffer from the consequence eventually. Electric scooter may do us some inconvenient now but as technology improved and through the help of government, electric scooter will become as convenient as motorbike. The electric scooter does less harm to earth because of low pollution, highly energy efficiency, and less energy crisis. That is the most important issue we should concern about. For we have only one earth.

一定是要回答"是"，但又有多少人會相信
這次的辯論，到底為了什麼?
我們在討論的時候，無法列出說服自己的優點
那又該怎麼去說服別人?
列出缺點，有些可以克服
但還有許多事要隨著科技進步才有解決的可能
大家都知道地球只有一個
也知道環保是一件很重要的事情
但是當環保與自身現實相衝突時，大家通常都會選擇放棄環保吧
看著學校的垃圾桶、路上許多烏賊車
不難發現這點
我也是其中一員!!
當然也是很多人在為了環保而努力
可能要等到什麼嚴重的事情發生
大家才會重視吧!
像是"明天過後"這樣
對於潛在的危險，大家總是不以為意
要等到真的發生了什麼，才會引起注意
